Phosphorus management issues for crop production: A review

چکیده
Phosphorus (P) is an essential element for plant growth. On account of its low solubility in soil, P often a limiting factor to optimum crop growth and therefore fertilisation important aspect nutrient management plans ensure profitable sustainable production. Plant availability controlled by sorption, desorption precipitation from released during weathering minerals applied P. Much research has been focused on the fate soils, practices how improve use efficiency cropped soils. The components, forms, cycling soils are summarized this review taking into complex interrelated processes which determine amounts several inorganic organic forms soil importance testing assess status some recent developments microbial solubilisation classical knowledge subject also covered. recommends potential as biofertilisers attempt reduce reliance expensive mineral fertilisers. Managing Phosphorus for Crop Production
Phosphorus is a macronutrient that plays a number of important roles in plants. It is a component of nucleic acids, so it plays a vital role in plant reproduction, of which grain production is an important result. It is also critical in biological energy transfer processes that are vital for life and growth. Adequate phosphorus results in higher grain production, improved crop quality, greater ...
متن کاملWinter Cereal–Corn Double Crop Forage Production and Phosphorus Removal
Maximizing P removal with cropping can increase regulated Pbased manuring rates or reduce soil test P in manure-enriched soils. The potential for increased P removal with winter forage–corn silage double cropping was evaluated in a 3-yr study at Parma, ID. Winter barley (Hordeum vulgare L.), and both winter and spring genotypes of wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) and triticale (3Triticosecale Wittm...
متن کاملBacterial Biofertilizers for Sustainable Crop Production: a Review
The most important constraint limiting crop yield in developing nations worldwide, and especially among resource-poor farmers, is soil infertility. Therefore, maintaining soil quality can reduce the problems of land degradation, decreasing soil fertility and rapidly declining production levels that occur in large parts of the world needing the basic principles of good farming practice. Minerals...

Maize (Zea mays L.) is an important crop among Brazilian smallholder farmers, who are also responsible for 40% of the poultry and egg production in the country.Although poultry litter is considered a potential pollutant, if properly stabilized anddistributed in the field it can be used as a source of nitrogen for maize production. In this study, the response of maize to mineral fertilizer and pou...
